You are Lucky ... You are Arab

Those are words we heard from a Pakistani with a sad look in his eyes !!

The story

My new company is a Pakistani company, the head office is in Pakistan with around 350 employees, and her in the ME branch we are around 30 employees, 5 only are Arab, me, one Somali and 3 Syrians.

In certain phases of projects some technical Pakistanis come from Pakistan branch to take the requirements and deliver them to the development team in Pakistan, as what is going in the project I work in now. Two gentle Pakistani guys sharing the work with us.
In one of the meetings with the client I don't know how the conversation such switched to Arabic conversation between the project manager from our said and the client side
So one of the Pakistani guys and he is a Sha5 :D just interrupted the talk with saying

"كل نفس ذائقة الموت"

and continued with an incent smile on his face "Just I want to participate on the Arabic conversation and this is the only words I know and understand in Arabic" it was really funny we laughed and switched to English again.

Suddenly the project manager from the client side said in aggressive sound "why u cannot understand Arabic! you are Muslim! Don’t you read Qur’an!!??"

He replied in intense "Yes I read Qur’an!!!"

Continued in a very very sad voice and look “but we have to read the translation to understand it ... you are so lucky you are Arab!!! ... You can understand the Qur’an direct"

I was about to cry at that moment when I saw his eyes,
Yes we are lucky we can read and understand the Qur’an but rare of Arab Muslim appreciate this grace, rare of them touch the Qur’an or read a page from it, you are better than most of those Arab Muslim you try so hard to read it and understand it while most of us left it from a long time.
