The Fall

I am not the type of people that could easily be attracted to open the TV to watch movies or any shows, I open the TV once a week on Friday to watch the news or anything for few minutes, but recently i am trying to open the TV daily to make some noise at homw to break the silence. Usually when i do that i sit on internet and don't concentrate on it, but this time i couldn't!!! The young actor attracted me so much, she is a lovely beautiful and adorable 5 years old girl, her beauty and her babyish voice attracted me and make me focus on the story. and it wasn't wasting time at all because I found the film so nice and very exciting, I liked it :)

This is a part of the file review

The film tells the story of young girl Alexandra (the plucky Catinca Untaru) who is spending time in a 1920s Hollywood hospital after a fall from a ladder while picking fruit with her migrant worker parents. There she meets paralyzed and heartbroken stuntman, Roy (the fantastic Lee Pace, of Pushing Daisies fame), who spins a fantastical yarn of cowboys, Indians, ex-slaves, Italian explosive experts, and Charles Darwin for her. However, Roy’s intentions aren’t as simple as entertaining a young girl. Singh utilizes a narrative device similar to films like The Princess Bride, framing the fantastical story-within-a-story by interrupting it and moving back to reality.

  1. I watched this film about a year and half ago.. It is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I fall in love with this amazing 5-years-old-creature as soon I have seen her (by the way she is the same girl in my mahjoob avatar but when she got older)

The whole story, actors, directors, shooting location (which exceeded 15 locations) & cinematography are unbelievable.. yet this film did not make a lot of profit! imagine!

did you cry on the scene when just had a surgery and she was crying and bagging him to continue the story? I did :3ayoo6:

  2. Don't tell me!!! I cried yesterday for the whole year! Specially when they start dying one after one, she was crying and I was crying with her ×_× and the hardest shoot for me was when the african guy die while trying to help her from arrows ;( ops was so tough moment for me!

Actually I was so emotional yesterday!

  4. I did not watch the film. I would prefer a bit of "sammet badan" (that's the Arabic equivalent of "stress") of news instead (you see even I myself do "self torturing" sometimes).

Just wanted to compare between a person falling from a tree in 1920's in (most probably) US and in our part of the world (e.g. Palestine). Of course, no hospital and he will suffer until death. I think this is pretty well the case now in Palestine!

Don't get me wrong. I am too much emotional but can't keep myself comparing with real life.

  6. loool Salah :)

May be i liked the movie because it has a lot of "sammet badan" :D

And the comparison u did is one of reasons makes me cry most of the times :( either while watching movies or news

It is really painful when you see how US or Europe respect humanity in their counties and how they abase it on all the Islamic counties :(

It is a pang on my heart

  12. It sounds like a good film. I don't feel comfortable with the TV on all day either, I guess some people just like background noise.
